Tezos Domains is Looking for Delegates
As you probably know, we are launching our governance soon. We are here to cover the delegation feature and call for people interested in becoming delegates. They will have the power to steer the direction of Tezos Domains in the future.
How Delegation Works
Delegation is a model that proved itself in the past. We think it’s a great way to get as many people participating as possible and still let the governance change and mature over time.
Everyone who is interested in Tezos Domains governance can become a delegate and any TED token holder can lend their voting power to a delegate that resonates with their values. With great power comes great responsibility. Recognizing this, we’re setting up a public forum where they can introduce themselves and connect with the community. This Governance Forum will become a marketplace of ideas that will keep Tezos Domains moving forward.
When a TED holder deposits (and converts TED to voting power), they will earn rewards from our governance rewards pool for as long as they remain in it. The current APR is always visible in the app. When they do this in the app, they are asked to pick a delegate (or to participate in the governance by voting themselves).
Becoming a Delegate
The “Delegates” category in the Governance Forum contains a simple guide on introducing yourself as a delegate. First, you need to fill out a short profile template telling a bit about yourself to the community. Just ensure you complete all the mandatory fields.
After a moderator checks your profile for formalities, your delegate’s profile will be approved. Then please follow the remaining steps in the guide to become available for delegation in the app itself.
